KANDHKOT: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that 18th Constitutional Amendment was under threat and is being attacked from all sides.Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was addressing a public gathering on the occasion of the first death anniversary of late Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani here on Friday. Bilawal vowed PPP will fight all the forces which are against the 18th amendment to protect it. He alleged that the federal government was not implementing the 18th Amendment. Bilawal blasts PM Imran Khan for selecting Usman Buzdar as the Punjab chief minister. He questioned “What is it about Usman Buzdar that Imran Khan is supporting him passionately?”Even Wasim Akram is asking “What is my fault”, Bilawal said over PM Imran’s remarks in which the Premier had compared CM Buzdar with former cricketer.Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Agha Siraj Durrani, Mir Aijaz Khan Jakhrani, Mir Shabir Hussain Bijarani, Manzoor Hussain Wassan, Mehboob Khan Bijarani, Salim Jan Mazari, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, Owais Shah, Mukesh Chawla, Dr Suhrab Sarki, Imdad Pitafi, and other party leaders were also present.

PM Imran Khan vows to bring tangible changes in lives of people

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has asserted that Tehreek-e-Insaf government is committed to bring tangible changes in the lives of people in lines with its manifesto.PM Imran Khan was talking to party MPs from Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan who called on the Prime Minister here Friday.He said the steps taken for welfare of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be extended forward in order to solidify the process of change in education, health and other sectors, Radio Pakistan reported.PM Khan also highlighted the immense potential of tourism in the province, saying, “Promotion of tourism will not only benefit the economy of the province, but of the country as well.”

Public holiday on February 5 to observe ?Kashmir Solidarity Day?

Islamabad: Government of Pakistan has declared as Public Holiday to observe the ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day” on 5th February, 2019 by all Provincial Governments including Gilgit-Baltistan, AJ&K and Islamabad Capital Territory.In this regard, it is requested to observe one-minute silence on 5th February, 2019 at 10:00 hours. General Public is also requested to observe one minute silence to the honour of Kashmir shuhada, says a press release received from Ministry of Interior here today.

ISLAMABAD: Naeem-ul-Haq, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan, has said that schoolchildren get very little time for extracurricular activities which are essential for their healthy growth due to homework.In a tweet, Naeem ul Haq said, “schoolchildren spend 6-8 hours studying at school and then if they have to spend another 1-2 hours doing homework it leaves little time for other activities which are essential for healthy growth.”“Should homework for schoolchildren be banned?”, he said and added that “Taleem and Tarbiyat should go hand in hand.”

Subsidizing Hajj against its basic philosophy: Fawad

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Friday said that giving subsidy to Hajj was against the basic philosophy of Hajj.In a tweet, he said that Hajj and Zakat were obligatory for those Muslims who could afford them.He said that giving subsidy to Hajj would mean spending poor tax payers money on Hajj expenses, obligatory only for those who could afford.The minister was apparently responding to the criticism over the government’s refusal to subsidise this year’s Hajj.
