CM Sindh not invited in any event in the province by PM Imran: Murtaza Wahab

KARACHI: Adviser to Chief Minister Sindh, Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Saturday said that the formation of Karachi Transformation Committee by the Prime Minister Imran Khan was an unconstitutional step. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader addressing a presser stated that in accordance with the constitution all the administrative matters of the province would be taken care of solely by the provincial government. The adviser stated further that regardless of the number of committees formed by the premier, they would all be supervised by the CM Sindh instead of the Governor adding that the Chief Executive of the province according to the constitution was the former not the latter. He revealed further that CM Syed Murad Ali Shah was not invited in any of the events attended by the Prime Minister during his visit of the province upon the fears of him raising questions about outstanding dues, supremacy of the constitution, NFC award, and rights over gas and electricity.Providing examples of the developmental work conducted by the Sindh government, Wahab stated that renovation of Cantonment Station and surrounding roads, revamping of Shahrah-e-Faisal, construction of underpasses and overhead bridges on it, revamping of University Road and Tariq Road in Karachi.He further asserted that PM Khan should stop deviating from the promises he made during his election campaign while also recalling that the promise was made to build five million homes but not even 50 had been built so farRegarding PPP’s co-chairman’s train march Wahab explained Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was meant to inform the people Sindh about how the federal government was not giving them their due rights.The adviser said that PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari was alleged in the past too but nothing was proven adding that the Bhutto family had faced the fake cases bravely in the past and they would do the same this time too. Moreover, he said that same relief should also be given to the other needed prisoners has had been given to the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by the apex court.
