KARACHI: At least 9,664 residents of Karachi encountered mugging incidents in the city over the span of three months, revealed Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) on Monday.As per a CPLC report, apart from the 9,644 incidents of mobile snatching that came to the forefront in the last three months, over 60 lives were also lost during these incidents which included police officials as well.Moreover, it was reported that an approximate of 5,813 motorbikes and 345 cars were also seized on gunpoint from Karachiites.On the other hand, the report further revealed that eight complaints of extortion came afloat while two bank robberies came to light. In order to counter the growing rate of street crime, Sindh Police has set up ‘Street Watch Force’ in Karachi.
