Agha Siraj Durrani arrest echoes in NA

ISLAMABAD: The arrest of Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani from a Islamabad hotel echoed in the National Assembly today.The NS session started at 10:29 am with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Naat and playing of national Anthem.Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser chaired the session.The House would take up agenda items including Question Hour, Calling Attention Notices, Motion under Rule 259, Motion of Thanks and matters other than points of order.As the session began, PPP Leader Khursheed Shah lashed out at the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the government and condemned the arrest.What message you want to give by dragging the custodian of an elected house, he asked.'May be he was involved in some illegal activities but this is not the way to treat.'Responding to the PPP leader, Federal Education Minister said the previous government should have amended the law when they were ruling.
